Our Latest Event

This was the 23rd year they have played in Chiseldon and their concerts have helped FoHC to raise about £80,000 in that time. FoHC owes them a real debt of gratitude - and hopes to see them next year!
This year the Aldbourne Band were invited to take part in the prestigious British Open Championships and they came a creditable 13th out of 20. Their conductor, Glyn Williams, is looking for a top ten finish in 2019. For more about the band, visit their website: www.aldbourneband.org.uk.
STOP PRESS - next year's concert is on Friday, December 6th.
Who We Are

The Friends of Holy Cross are a group of people - churchgoers and non-churchgoers - who wish to ensure that The Church of The Holy Cross in the village of Chiseldon is preserved and maintained for present and future generations.
FoHC aims to:
- Help preserve and maintain the fabric and furnishings of Holy Cross Church for the benefit of the community, and in support of the Parochial Church Council.
- Raise funds to achieve those objectives.
- Stimulate an interest in the building and its contents.

Church Interior Renovation Project 2018
Holy Cross is an important building providing a safe and welcoming environment for family and community events, as it has done for hundreds of years. ChIRP was a one-year organisation, formed in 2017 to raise funds for essential repair work - Project 2018 - to make sure it continues to be so for future generations.
A spectacular fundraising year - £30,075! This was an incredible achievement by everyone who played a part in the 23 ChIRP fundraising events and initiatives. It was a real community effort for Chiseldon, with contributions from regular church-goers, friends, family, local businesses, previous residents - even a local celebrity! For the hands-on help from everyone who contributed and donated, the ChIRP Committee would like to say a HUGE THANK YOU!
